Dr. Susan Wnuk, PhD., C. Psych, is a staff psychologist at the University Health Network Bariatric Surgery Program in Toronto and is an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto Department of Psychiatry. Her research interests include eating disorders, obesity, mindfulness and behavioural interventions. She is involved in research projects investigating psychosocial predictors of outcome and the effectiveness of behavioral interventions including mindfulness and cognitive-behavioural therapy for bariatric surgery patients. Dr. Wnuk supervises students, facilitates workshops for professionals, publishes research and presents at conferences. She provides clinical care to pre- and post-bariatric surgery patients that involves assessment, individual therapy, and the facilitation of mindfulness and DBT skills groups. Prior to joining the Bariatric Surgery Program in 2010, she worked at hospital-based eating disorders programs and at the borderline personality disorder program at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health.
