Ms. Haley Frerichs, BSc.

Haley Frerichs earned her Bachelor of Science with Honors in Physiology from the University of Alberta in 2021. She then enrolled in the University of Alberta MD program, where she is currently in her second year of training (C2026). Her interest in women’s health research and gynecologic cancer led her to the MD with Special Training in Research program (MD/STIR), where she is supervised by Dr. Sophia Pin and Dr. Sarah Chapelsky. Haley is particularly interested in the intersections between endometrial cancer and obesity and the unique challenges faced by this patient population.
