Dr. David Harris is a trained Endocrinologist from th4 University of British Columbia (UBC). He started working with the Richmond Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Program in 2012 to present time. He is mainly in charge of post operative medical and nutritional surveillance of all Sleeve Gastrectomy, Gastric Bypass and SADI-S patients coming though the program. He follows patients long term post operatively. Over the past six years he also worked in Ontario, at LEAF weight management clinic with Dr. Judy Shiau, but has now focused full time on bariatric surgery pathways of care. His main research interest and majority of publications are in the Immuno-pathology of Obesity. He also holds a keen interest in post operative hypoglycemic disorders, and the genetics research involving obesity. He is grateful to present today, and thanks for this opportunity.
